HOLGER HORIZON

Holger Horizon

Swedish Uppsala-based jazz fusion group Holger Horizon releases a collection of live and studio recordings on a spectacular double-CD. Above all to commemorate the late composer and jazz guitarist Håkan "Hubbe" Larsson, who spear-headed the group along with renowned reed player Roland Keijser in terms of soloistic and compositional force. While drummer Thor-Björn Jönsson embraces the group's rhythmic framework, Peter Jansson and Tove Brandt are the bassists taking turns to play Holger Horizon's exciting music, which in essence mixes jazz, rock, folk music and classical strands in a mesmerizing way.
