Swedish multi-faceted pianist and composer Hans Loelv is back with another album after his two celebrated releases Fuerterico and Ballads And Dreams. Loelv has shown incredible talent in moving freely between music styles within the jazz idiom, be it blues, Latin American-vibes, bebop or cinematic folk music and melancholy balladry. For the new material, he has brought an armada of "friends", top class musicians, to his aid, and as described in Loelv's personal liner notes, the title Nostalgia was carefully chosen since the bulk of the music on here conjures up associations with the pianist's past. But amid the musical retrospection, he presents something brand new: his prowess as a singer. Aside from his melodic originals, Loelv includes a range of jazz standards from the American Songbook by giants like Ellington and Van Heusen, but definitely presents them in a new light and with a twist. Recorded inside the well-equipped studio of ABBA-Benny Andersson and engineered by the sure hands of Roxette-producer Alar Suurna, we proudly present a Swedish locally produced album of the highest quality!
